Shlaereen was not one to listen to reason at this moment, maybe down the line she would Be more inclined. So she decided to stand for now, allowing the others to do the rest of the talking. As for Isabella, she was utterly confused, along with most of the soldiers behind her. She was always under the impression that the entrance to hell was more… evil looking then what she was seeing. Yet she and her Templars just kept their shields up, just in case this was an actual trap.

“Ah yes, the old bureaucracy routine,” Astrid added on, apparently willing to provide some witty commentary.  “Nothing like the jarring juxtaposition of Hell with a businessman asking for civility.”

“Hmm…you must be here for pretty urgent reasons if you’re choosing not to sit down,” the demon commented.  “Well, that and that commentary from those goddesses implies you’re here to deal with some big threat.  Well then, an explanation would be appreciated as to why you’ve come barging into Hell with so many weapons looking like you’re ready to prosecute a war would be appreciated, if only so that I might send you on your way.”

“We’re here for a meeting with the Demon Lord Adam.  Should be under Astrid, I believe.  I think he’s expecting us,” Astrid answered.

“Adam…Adam…” the demon typed away at his console, before he reached his conclusion.  “Ah, yes, here you all are, the 3′o clock appointment.  You’re early, actually.  Still, a bit of eagerness isn’t anything bad.  He’s waiting for you at his palace.  Just go down the path and take a left through the teleporter and you’ll be right at his doorstep.  Oh, and do mind the locals, yes? They’re not exactly appreciative of holy warriors invading Hell, and I’m sure they’re going to try to evict you from here.”

“The fact that they’re going this far with the civility routine either means this is really what they’re like with visitors, or this is all an elaborate prank, and considering what I know of Hell, both are entirely possible… maybe even simultaneously” She groans

Taking her time to make sure the equipment is working, she sighs,”Also, who set this appointment up in the first place? I was under the impression that we were storming the gates with a covert operation?” She asks exasperatedly

“I’m guessing Adam decided to set something up so that his underlings don’t think we’re here to wreck his shit,” Joe commented, getting up out of his seat.  “Well, only thing left to do is to make it to the appointment in time.  C’mon, everyone, let’s get going.  And if the ‘locals’ really don’t appreciate our presence, we all know what to do, right?”

Following Joe’s lead, Red stood, pulling Ruler up as he went. With nothing to really say in response, he started after the Spartan, Ruler silently following as she gave the demon a wary look.

Behind Joe, Red followed closely and lowered his voice to speak to him. “Joe, if we end up heading into a trap, I would prefer that we keep our guard up. I have a bad feeling about this.”
