I drew four of my favorite Warframes (in no particular order) Ash, Equinox, Banshee and Limbo. I also made some cool products of these neat-o pics on my Red Bubble. So if you’d like some stickers, notebooks, shirts or anything else of these four, check out my shop!
Zhen had left the Federation Marines and became a free agent. While Nora had given her a new starship for personal travel, and a powerful body armor to match and even surpass her rival, Zhen was still severely lacking in upgrades for the armor.
She remembered the one mission she did with the Galactic Defense Initiative’s Fleet Admiral, Red. He mentioned that he was going to supply her with an upgrade for her Synth Suit. Now that she was on her own, she needed as much tech as she could, so she went to meet with the admiral to have him make good on his promise.
She met with the Fleet Admiral in GDI territory, flying her personal starship (which she had yet to name, come to think of it). Meeting with the Admiral was easy enough, Zhen met him in her civilian outfit as opposed to her Marine armor, which my have tipped the admiral off that she was no longer in the Marines.
“Admiral, it’s been quite some time,” Zhen mentioned. “So, I remember you said you were going to supply me with upgrades for my Synth Suit? Did you ever finish constructing it?”
Red gave a nod. “We did, and more. We have a secure armor bay for you to try them out.”
Once Zhen agreed, Red tapped his omni-tool a few times. The pair were Blinked into a spotless room, with a single compacted armor gantry which unfolded into its full circular ‘gateway’ configuration as Zhen approached.
Beside the gantry was a replicator console, which Red used to produce the upgrade modules in question. These were placed on a table which slid out from a slot on the gantry’s side.
“As I promised, that Blink pack was done. Here with it are a few more miscellaneous modules I thought your suit might need. Among them, a portable nanofabrication system. Anything you want or need while you’re out on the field, it will be able to make.“
If the reports were accurate, this was certainly a very interesting development. Both for the Empire and themselves.
The Initiative hadn’t had much chance to study the technology of Chozo Power Armors in-depth, the one partial sample they’d managed to acquire still proving rather daunting to study even after a decade of dedicated, cautious research.
Still, what little they’d managed to learn had opened up various alternative approaches and innovations in current GDI biotechnology, even helping to cause a breakthrough in their side-research on Inusannon technologies.
And given how incredibly lethal a certain Chozo suit-user was, any further insight regarding Chozo suits was definitely worth finding out about.
“We’ve had a few quiet reports that some individuals possess some variant of Chozo suits. Given what they’re capable of, I figured you needed to know,“ Red said in a much lower tone.
He wasn’t sure if those individuals belonged to the Empire or not. If they did, he was much less worried. If they weren’t, though…well, that would be trouble. Anyone with Chozo tech posed a risk to trillions of lives if misused or malevolently turned.
“I just wanted to ask if you happen to know anything about these people. Is the Temple of the Glorious Body working on personal-scale Chozo technology?”
Astrid seemed to contemplate something for a bit. When she spoke, she answered, “No, our Mechs have proven efficient enough.” However, telepathically, she answered, “I trust you, so I’ll tell you the truth, but from here, we speak telepathically.
“Yes, we have developed some Power Suits before. Two variants, in fact. Nora originally developed an armor superior to the Power Suit, dubbed the Synth Suit. While initially weaker than the Power Suit, it has the ability to adapt its systems to various threats like the Borg. However, the number of Synth Suit users we have can be counted on one hand, with one such suit belonging to the Galactic Federation, specifically the Marine Zhen.
“The versions you likely heard of were the Fusion Suit, an inferior copy to the Power Suit. Its shielding is weaker than the Power Suit in every aspect, its weapons are inferior, and to upgrade it you have to download the firmware updates via compatible data stations, which only exist on their starships, which we build for them in secret for infiltration missions.
“I’m surprised you even found out about the Fusion Suit, we’ve done a lot of dirty work to keep them a secret. Not even half a percent of the Empire’s military knows of the Fusion Suit’s existence, even fewer have the authorization to use it. Every Fusion Suit candidate is personally vetted by Joe to ensure loyalty, trustworthiness, and secrecy.
“Only once they have proven themselves completely loyal to the Empire, perfectly trustworthy, and unlikely to steal Chozo Artifacts may they use the Fusion Suit. Synth Suit operatives are selected from only the most trustworthy and experienced of those ranks.
“Even then, Nora installed some high-powered explosives into the neck of the armor to ensure that it doesn’t get turned against us, or that any Fusion Operative goes rogue.”
“I see…” Red responded telepathically. “This adaptation feature is interesting since it’s slightly like the shield technology we use.“
“And I must admit, we only caught wind of these Fusion Suit users due to some observer clouds finding small transmissions of theirs by sheer accident. In that regard, the level of secrecy used was very excellent. That aside, good to see Nora took measures to ensure the safety of the Suit technology.“
“Strange that the suits can only use those stations to upgrade, though.“
The fact that the Fusion Suits could only upgrade their firmware at certain proprietary stations onboard mobile ships was, to him, both an interesting operational security feature and a tactical limitation. The Initiative’s own elite Shadow operatives utilized single-burst QEC links to update their firmware as needed, without needing to use any equipment station or associated support system.
Then again, GDI had built every last piece of its infrastructure to be as decentralized as possible, to make the loss of any central command chain irrelevant. Not exactly a fair comparison there.

During a military campaign, Vlad the Impaler, the basis for Dracula, once pulled his troops out of a major engagement in a valley at dusk so that the sun was in their enemies’ eyes. Once they were over the hill, they set loose a bunch of rabid bats who flew away from the sun (towards the enemy) and attacked them, leading to significant infection in their ranks, and Vlad’s eventual victory. Because of how the bats appeared from where Vlad’s soldiers appeared to be at dusk, myth stated that the soldiers turned into bats at night, which is where the “Dracula can change into a bat” thing came from.

King James (the one known for revising the Bible) liked to watch women give birth. That’s where the “tradition” of women laying on their backs to give birth comes from.
Previous to that it was common for women to have chairs with holes in them and straw underneath, so they could sit on this special chair and let gravity help with the birthing process.
Spicy foods were thought to increase libido and cause children to masturbate. To prevent kids from touching themselves at night, a man named Kellogg invented the blandest combination of cereals, marketed it at kids, and called it Corn Flakes
At the Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War, a small group of Union soldiers had run out of ammo against a large group of the Confederate Army. In a panic, the Union soldiers sprinted at them, screaming, with only bayonets drawn. The entire Confederate Army that was present turned and ran away in fear, not knowing that they had literally no ammunition.

People refused to send art and sculptures to be displayed at the Chicago World’s Fair because of Chicago’s history with fire. They had to fireproof the Fine Arts building to get people to agree to loan them their art. A year after the fair closed most of the grounds were destroyed by fire but the Fine Arts building survived. It’s now the Museum of Science and Industry.
The carbon emissions thing from Ghenghis Khan is not the whole story. He also planted trees wherever he conquered land because he liked trees and thought they were important. He conquered enough to make an impact on the global climate.
Radu III, brother of Vlad III( Vlad the Impaler) nearly killed Mehmed II, the future Sultan of the Ottoman’s, after Mehmed invited him up to his chambers. Radu, seemingly unaware that the offer was sexual in nature, was startled when Mehmed embraced and then tried to kiss him. Radu stabbed the prince in the leg, then ran and hid in a tree. They later became lovers, and maintained a relationship for the rest of their lives
