“Fifteen years of that, huh?” Tempest murmured. “I get the feeling that might get old. Although it might be nice to have someone looking out for you like that…”
The elder gave her two sisters another light, affectionate squeeze.
“That’s enough for now, Akemi.” She decided.
The two cruisers chuckled along, Hope giving Tempest a cheeky smile.
“Reputations can be really funny things, Tempest. Just ask sis.”
Lumi blushed, recalling how she’d discovered the actual reputation of herself and Hope around the Starbase after they’d gotten together.
“I’ll, um…I’ll certainly say that sometimes one’s reputation can be…very different from what they’d expect.”
Her tribble purred again then, almost as if in agreement.
“I used to be known as the strongest carrier of my Battlegroup!” Tempest proudly declared.
“I don’t always understanding my feelings yet, but… I feel like I have a duty to preserve that legacy, that all of my crews have forged over my lifetime. It would be no good to ruin it just because I can walk on my own two feet now, y’know?”
Lumi nodded along, understanding very well just what Tempest meant. Battlegroup Jericho had left a legacy of its own, one of unyielding defiance against the odds.
Hope gently tugged her sister’s arm, giving a tilt of the head towards Tempest. “C’mon, Sis, let’s allow our gracious host time to herself.”
Lumi agreed, returning her tribble to one of her pockets and getting up. Hope gave one last smile and wave to the carrier.
“It was very nice talking to you and your sisters, Tempest. We might drop by more often. You have a good rest now, okay? See you!”
Those who have stared into the void are capable of hacking anything and anyone.
There are heroes not even the Darkness can claim forever.

Lumi’s breath hitched for a moment, the cruiser realizing just how important such a position was.
The angel before her was analogous to Serina, who held a similar role, in part, as Administrative AI of the First Fleet.
“By stars…it’s…it’s an honor to meet you.” Lumi said with another quick bow. Hope curtsied precisely with a grin.
“It’s nice to meet you, Ilta. We’ll find ourselves a nice cozy spot, then.”
Lumi gave a look to her sister. “Books first, don’t you think?”
Ilta smiled. “There’s no need to respond to me in such a way,” she mentioned. “I am a humble servant of Lady Astrid, after all. My station may be higher than others, but I am her servant regardless. Now, are there any books in particularly you’re looking for while you’re here?”
Lumi went first. “Perhaps any material on Ancoran mythology. The rest of the pantheon sounds interesting to read about.”
After meeting Agape, Lumi wanted to know more about the other deities. A minor curiosity, but one she entertained.
Hope was a lot more sentimental in her taste of books. “Are there any novels?”
It didn’t take long for Yellow to find her way to the library. The small signs and icons helped a lot.
Finding the library open, the healer entered, finding an angel at the counter. A somewhat surprising sight, but since this was Astrid’s Temple…it made some amount of sense.
“Excuse me, Miss…I’m sorry to bother you.” Yellow said softly as she attracted the angel’s attention, aware of the golden rule of all libraries.
“I’m looking for books…on magic. I’m afraid I don’t know where to start. Would you be willing to guide me?”
The angel nodded, pushing up the rim of her glasses. “There are plenty of old tomes on magic around here,” she mentioned. “Are there any particular spells you’re looking for?”
“Not in particular, no.” Yellow replied, thinking on what she needed.
She was practically a newcomer to learning about the mystic arts. Looking for specific spells wouldn’t serve her at this point in time.
“But if there’s a general overview of magic, I could start with that.”
Lumi bowed her head to the librarian politely, as did Hope. An angel was a curious sight, but hardly a surprise given where they were. “I merely wish to spend some time here reading. We’re here sightseeing, you see.”
Hope gazed with much tenderness and a blissful smile at Lumi before meeting the angel’s kind look. “I hope there’s a quiet spot we can both read at.”
“Ah, I see,” the angel replied, before closing her eyes and putting on a warm smile. “Yes, there are several quiet spots you can read at. I’m actually just here organizing some documents for Lady Astrid, I don’t actually work in this library. My name is Ilta. I am Lady Astrid’s Divine Adviser. In short, I am her personal assistant, tasked with helping her better administrate her duties as a deity, and I also help her with running the Astridian Empire as needed.”

Yellow seemed to ponder the matter of the library for a moment, before nodding to Thrud and then directing a thought to Astrid.
Miss Astrid, I wish to look for the library here. Thrud told me about it, and there is something I wish to research while I am here.
Whether or not Astrid could ascertain her intentions, Yellow didn’t know. But she was determined to learn more about the magic that seemed so prevalent and widespread on Terra Ancora.
“Library’s open to all,” Astrid replied mentally. “Feel free to do what research you want to do while here.”
Affirmative.
