The AI had noticed the moogle’s request through one of her many monitoring channels, and Lux soon appeared near the moogle in a electric-blue Blink, smiling brightly.
“Hi there, strange being! Red wants me somewhere? You mentioned his name, and I haven’t seen you before, so I’m guessing he called for me?”
The rather adorable pixie-like AI twirled about in the air, digital light particles gently falling from her glowing wings like snow.
“Yes, kupo, he’s in Zenith right now and would like your assistance,” the moogle says.
Lux tilted her head with quite a confused look. “Zenith? That starbase in the Minerva system?”
Upon receiving a shake of the head, Lux thought again. “Zenith is somewhere else, isn’t it? Alright, take me there if you know the way!”
Whatever or wherever Zenith was exactly, this was bound to be an exciting adventure!
“Take my hand, kupo.” Usually, the moogle’s method of multiverse travel only involved one moogle, but it wasn’t hard to bring another. Once she had the other’s hand, she transported her to the Askr castle, as it was the safest area at the moment.
As Lux arrived with the moogle, she took in her new surroundings with a look of curiosity and wonder.
“Wow, a castle! I’ve only seen a few of those on Earth and other worlds!”
Lots of energy signatures consistent with magic were latent throughout the area. Without further information, it was hard to know what the surrounding civilization was like.
Picking up Red’s private ID signal, Lux twirled about once again. “Red’s nearby, I know it!”
“I’ve seen a good variety of them, kupo. This one’s easily one of the biggest, kupo,” Monty replies, already having gotten a good enough look, but she still took some time to appreciate it.
“Would you like my assistance getting caught up to speed, kupo? I’ve already talked to those best suited for making the change over to guns, kupo.”
Lux nodded emphatically, wanting to know more about this strange new world she’d now been brought to.
“Go right ahead and tell me, moogle! Although…do you have a name I can call you by?”
Firearm theory wasn’t hard, she could help tackle that with the natives later. Although if it were old chemical slugthrowers she would have to work with, that would cause a lot of logistical and industrial issues.
Ah well. Best to learn about this world first.
