Even from this distance, Yellow could make out the outline of the Temple, with how large it was.

Strange, really. She’d come expecting to need months of work before ever going to see Astrid, or rather Bellatrix. But to be able to see them so soon…it was a welcome surprise.

A soft exhale from the healer. “Yes. Yes we will.”

The walk through the Temple Grounds were calm enough.  Once they reached the Temple proper, however, they were greeted by none other than Astrid herself.  “Heya!” she said, waving to the party.  “Welcome to my temple!”

“Hello, mother,” Thrud mentioned.  “It’s great to see you again.”

“Yeah, great to see you too kid.  And I see you brought Admiral Yellow! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Please, do come in all of you!”

As soon as Yellow had seen the goddess, she’d fallen eerily silent, never meeting her eyes.

With Astrid inviting all of them inside, she followed her party into the Temple quietly. While a part of her still silently marveled at the Temple’s grand architecture, she made no outward sign of it to her teammates, simply walking along behind them with her head bowed.

Surely she would be able to meet Bellatrix here in the Temple as well. And that was all she needed.

The two cruiser sisters blushed, each gesturing for the other to answer first before Hope decided to take the lead, going before Agape to speak a little more privately.

“I, um…well, we’ve been dating each other for a while now. We’re both happy and Sis is recovering, but I want to take it to the next level someday. She deserves that much and more.”

Hope’s blush only intensified as she laced her hands together before Agape, subtly indicating her ring finger. It still felt a bit strange, talking to her sister’s doppelgänger.

“We’ve…only kissed and hugged so far. Should I do…more forward things? I don’t wanna pop the question to her just yet.”

Agape put forth a pretty big smirk on her face.  “Well, I don’t see why not,” she mentioned.  “I’m sure she’ll be fine with it.  And if not, well, at least you’ll know where her boundaries are.”

Hope began swaying this way and that, clutching her upper arm as she continued blushing. “Mmmhh. Sis has been so accepting of everything we’ve done together that it feels like my dream come true.”

The cruiser giggled, casting a quick glance back at Lumi behind her, before looking again at Agape. “If we move on to that, I’ll be sure to really please her too. I’ll be by her side always. Thanks miss Agape. Anyway…Sis wanted to speak with you as well. I’ll let you two talk.”

With that, Hope stepped aside, gesturing for her sister to come up to Agape in turn.

“You…you know us?” Lumi couldn’t help but blurt out. They hadn’t even introduced themselves yet.

Eudico, it seemed, had more snarky remarks to give her raven-haired host. “If she’s a goddess, no shit she knows you two. Bet my datastores that she knows everyone on some level.”

Hope giggled and gave a short bow, internally squealing over how she was speaking with an actual goddess of love. Quite oddly considerate of her to take the form of the person she loved most of all.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Agape. Your place is really beautiful.” Hope praised, before shyly looking away for a moment and then meeting the goddess’s playful gaze. “Guess Hope and I must be an unusual pair to you, huh?”

“Oh this is just a shrine,” Agape admitted.  “It’s nothing like the Temple of Astrid, or my own private realm.  As for you two being an unusual pair, well, it’s not often that you get relationships like yours.  Still, at least you two are happy, and that’s what really matters in the end, isn’t it? So, what brings you two before me?”

The two cruiser sisters blushed, each gesturing for the other to answer first before Hope decided to take the lead, going before Agape to speak a little more privately.

Yellow did notice, taking note of how the women chose to style themselves aesthetically.

She did recall Red’s accounts of Astrid’s physical appearance. It was quite likely that many Ancoran women chose to model themselves after their hierarch.

The Roman-like fashion choice caught her eye as well. Most Initiative fashion had clean, geometric patterns overlaid by holographic highlights. Some Orokin-inspired fashion had made its way to those desiring more class, but those were relatively less common.

Once the group reached the entrance to the Temple Grounds, Thrud nodded to Yellow.  “We’re almost there,” she mentioned.  “Just another few kilometers to go and we’ll be at Lady Astrid’s temple.”

Even from this distance, Yellow could make out the outline of the Temple, with how large it was.

The two sisters stared back, utterly baffled before they glanced at each other and then back at the person.

Lumi saw Hope both beside and in front of her, while Hope saw two Lumis.

But if they were both here, then that meant…

“…Agape?” Hope asked, slowly coming to a realization.

The person before them put on a big grin.  “That’s me!” she answered.  “I’m Agape, Goddess of Love.  Pleasure to meet you two, Lumi, Hope.  Welcome to my little shrine.”

“You…you know us?” Lumi couldn’t help but blurt out. They hadn’t even introduced themselves yet.

Yellow nodded, and touched the Warp Crystal as she had done with the other one.

She felt energy flow through her once again, and when the sensation passed, she turned to her party. “I’m attuned now. Astrid’s temple must be nearby.”

Yellow breathed quietly, looking at Thrud. “Lead the way, please.”

Thrud nodded.  “Of course!” she replied, turning and marching off in the direction of the temple.  As the party went through the streets, Yellow might’ve noticed that the Ancoran women were noticeably taller than average, and possessed noticeable muscle mass as well.  Fashion in Larstern also tended more towards what looked like Roman fashion with a few modern updates.

It took a while more of tinkering with the design before Yellow finally believed she couldn’t take it any closer to a proper Amesha given her resources.

Tapping a haptic button set off the construction process, and Yellow exhaled before turning to Thrud.

“That should be it. To Larstern it is.”

During the process, Thrud had arranged for some of her sisters to watch over Yellow’s device.  They stood guard at the entrance wearing their Power Armor and carrying their big weaponry.  Thrud nodded as she and the rest of the party joined hands with Yellow.  Thrud put two fingers to her forehead to cast the spell, and then they all teleported off to Larstern.

Once they arrived, Thrud nodded to Yellow before pointing at the Primary Warp Crystal they arrived at.  “Make a habit of attuning yourself to every Primary Warp Crystal you come across,” she mentioned.  “It’ll save you some time traveling.”

Yellow nodded, and touched the Warp Crystal as she had done with the other one.

Curiosity overtook them both, and so Hope and Lumi followed the mystery person into the shrine.

Both sisters were intrigued. Lumi had seen the barest flash of long white hair, exactly like Hope’s. Hope herself had seen black hair, like Lumi’s.

Lumi’s AI, Eudico, was also confused. “I swear to Void, I see her too.”

What was going on?

The two of them had to follow only brief glimpses of this mystery person for quite some time before they finally found them, sitting in a very elaborately decorated room.  This person was staring right at the two of them.  “That was a very nice offering you made,” they commented, even their voice sounding exactly like the other.  “Not often folks make that kind of offering in these shrines.  Then again, not often that folks come in here already having a partner.”

The two sisters stared back, utterly baffled before they glanced at each other and then back at the person.

Lumi saw Hope both beside and in front of her, while Hope saw two Lumis.

But if they were both here, then that meant…

Hope giggled, almost seeming giddy with happiness. “Of course…”

The white-haired shipgirl pulled her sister along, a little closer to the shrine. Without further ado, Hope wrapped her free arm around Lumi’s waist, giving her a very tender look before kissing her fully on the lips.

Hope’s eyes widened briefly before she closed them and all but melted into Hope’s arms. The two cruisers stayed like that for a moment before separating, both blushing as they continued to hold hands.

Surely that would have grabbed Agape’s attention, if she were watching.

Things went quiet for a while.  It almost felt like Agape didn’t even notice, but then, out of the corner of Hope and Lumi’s eyes, there seemed to be someone observing them from behind a pillar.  To the both of them, this person would look like what they viewed as the most beautiful being in the universe, before they giggled and slipped past the clergy, going deeper into the shrine.  Perhaps the two of them should follow this person?

Curiosity overtook them both, and so Hope and Lumi followed the mystery person into the shrine.

Yellow began to reply, but stopped herself short as she considered Thrud’s words. Finding it somewhat appropriate, she gave an answer slowly.

“I…suppose…you could say that. It’s…similar. But not just a jetpack.”

From what she had read of them, Tenno documents on Archwings described them as multi-environment aerospace superiority vehicles, with integrated life-support, high-power reactors and various onboard modules.

Her current attempt at making an Amesha was a shoddy ripoff, to be sure, given her lack of some types of resources. But this would still augment her capabilities nonetheless.

“Once I’m done designing it, this will build itself. I estimate about…12 hours total. 6 for actual completion and 6 for full integration. In the meantime, while it builds we can head to Larstern.”

“12 hours to build it?” Thrud asked.  “That’s quite some time.  It would probably be best for us to head to Larstern in the meantime then.  I’ll get some folks to keep watch over this device while it’s working then, make sure nobody tries to mess with it.”

It took a while more of tinkering with the design before Yellow finally believed she couldn’t take it any closer to a proper Amesha given her resources.
