“Fifteen years of that, huh?” Tempest murmured. “I get the feeling that might get old. Although it might be nice to have someone looking out for you like that…”
The elder gave her two sisters another light, affectionate squeeze.
“That’s enough for now, Akemi.” She decided.
“Eh? Figured what out?” Aegis asked with more than a little surprise.
For a conversation starter, this sure was an unusual one. Had Tempest been investigating something? Surely not, was it?
“Just let Tempest talk, Aegis. I have a feeling this is rather important.” came Serina’s observant remark.
“Sometimes, getting used to this new life is hard for me. But, I know I have you as a friend. I’m friends with Hope and Lumi too, but it’s different when I’m with you.”
“I know that people will have asked you this before, but… I was wondering if you wanted to be more than just friends?”
And just like that, Aegis’s mind came to an abrupt halt. And then sped up again, as the Titan’s blush grew tenfold and she realized exactly what Tempest was asking.
“Um…wait, I – you really do feel that way?” she stammered, mind racing light years a second. Despite her popularity, only one other shipgirl had ever asked this same question seriously, and Song hadn’t been one to joke around with such words.
If Tempest felt the same way for her as she was starting to feel…it was a one in a trillion shot. Aegis met Tempest’s gaze with a shyness that was rare for her, her voice coming out in an embarrassed whisper.
“I mean…I don’t mind. Being more than friends.”
I know there’s a lot of tension after Tumblr’s new policy annouced for December 17th, but reblog this if you aren’t leaving Tumblr so that other blogs can know they aren’t going to be completely alone!
I’ll stay as long as I can, but I’m keeping alternative options open.

A cheerful beep was what Tempest heard, and moments later the door slid open with a soft hiss, revealing a surprised Aegis.
Who, judging by her casual wear and slightly damp-looking untied hair, looked like she’d been fresh out the shower.
“Tempest…? Um…hi there!” Aegis replied, with a smile and a slight blush of her own. “Nice to see you again! What brings you here?”
“I, uh… I just wanted to chat with you for a bit. Is now a bad time? I mean, I can come back later if you want.” Tempest stammered.
Perhaps now the realisation was dawning on her that she had not thought this through, showing up without a plan. She had no idea what she would do or say, and the butterflies in her stomach were not proving to be of much help.
Given how free she tended to be, Aegis wasn’t one to pass up such opportunities to socialize. She swept a loose bit of hair behind her ear, gesturing into her quarters.
“It’s fine, Tempest, you can come right in.”
In her ear, unheard to all save Aegis herself, Serina’s digital whisper was gentle. “Don’t worry. You’ll be alright, both of you.”
Hearing the hypermind’s reassurance, Aegis felt warm and tingly simply seeing Tempest’s blush.
The Titan stood to the side, letting the carrier see her quarters’ interior, and also hoping that she didn’t notice her own blush deepening ever so slightly.
“Thanks.” Tempest smiled, as she meekly entered. “You have a nice place here.” She added, hoping to ease her own nerves.
“Sorry for barging in on you unannounced. I just… wanted to see you.” She confessed.
“Thank you.” Aegis replied, flushing from the praise.
Her quarters was somewhat larger than Tempest’s, and one of the most immediately noticeable things in it was a scale model of Aegis’s starship-self, placed squarely in a display shelf.
“Ah…that’s really nice of you, Tempest.” Hearing that Tempest had simply wanted to see her, Aegis couldn’t contain the happiness she felt. Why was she like this before her friend all of a sudden?
Before she knew it, the Titan had laid her hand on the carrier’s shoulder, just as Tempest had done so before.

wordpress and soup both allow you to directly import whole tumblr blogs, and if i recall correctly it’s something both dreamwidth and pillowfort have said they are working on.
if you have some knowledge of computers you can try this github solution which uses a python script to download your whole blog to your computer.
even if you don’t know anything about programming or the command linethey give a very good beginners tutorial on how to use it so you should still give it a shot!
