Wolf would have found any attempt at biting through Red(F)’s skin fruitless, despite it feeling softly human to the touch.

The woman herself made soft, sharp whimpers from the pleasure of his frantic sheathings, her hips pushing back with each spurt of liquid warmth.

When he’d finally stopped, Red(F) simply laid on the bed, looking behind to give him a satisfied smile.

“Mmh. That was great…”

Red(F)’s legs wrapped themselves around Wolf’s back, her thighs pressing against him.

Her moans had given way to throaty whimpers, the woman panting one thing over and over between her lewd noises.

A tingling ripple across the link was all she did to spur her partner closer and closer to release.

“Come on…come on…”

Lumi quirked an eyebrow upon hearing a Council being mentioned. “Huh.”

Flipping through the book of Ancoran mythology revealed practically nothing about any sort of deific council.

“A Council? Can’t say I know anything about that.”

Hope remained quiet, her face one of deep thought as she rested against Lumi’s side. Truth be told, she was equally lost. Her time interacting with Astrid hadn’t been enough to glean any details on this supposed Council.

“The Council generally doesn’t get involved in mortal affairs,” Ilta mentioned.  “They’re the governing body of the gods, and they were the ones who said that the gods shouldn’t be involved in mortal affairs owing to what happened during the Great Divine War.”

The two sisters were quiet for a moment, thinking.

“Kinda sounds like CONCORD or our own people, don’t you think?” Lumi asked Hope, who nodded slowly.

The maid shipgirl had her own thoughts on the matter, putting her half-finished novel on her lap. “Or the Federation. Or our cousins in the multiverse, the other GDI. This Great Divine War must have been really, really bad for the Council to have formed.”

As before, a nod of acknowledgement came from the healer. “I will. Thank you again.”

She took the books gratefully, adding them to the collection she already had. With that done, Yellow swept a glance around her party.

“I suppose, well…now is as good a time as any to go and see the Mage’s Guild.”

“I suppose it would be,” Thrud decided.  “C’mon then everyone, we’ve got adventuring to do!” Thrud grabbed Yellow’s wrist and started pulling her off towards their destination, the other two party members not far behind.

With how sudden the action had been, Yellow was caught by surprise as she was pulled along. “Wh–?!”

Even as the healer was being pulled along, she gave a departing look at Ilta. “Farewell! May we meet again!”

Once outside the Temple Library, Yellow tried her best to keep pace with Thrud smoothly while being led by the hand.

“Thrud, how far is the Mage’s Guild from here?”

This surprised Lumi, and even Hope looked at Ilta with stars in her eyes. “Really?” Both replied simultaneously.

The two cruisers looked at each other after that and shared a giggle, amused that they’d both had the same thing in mind.

“Never knew that.” Lumi voiced out, smiling despite her sudden realization of something. “Now Hope will be clinging to me a lot more.”

The shipgirl in question giggled again, then looked at Lumi’s book and Ilta. “You know you love it, sis. Anyway, Lady Ilta, since we met Agape earlier…do you suppose the other gods are active? Maybe sis and I could tour their shrines after we’re done with visiting both the Temple and Larstern libraries.”

“Technically speaking, the gods are not supposed to involve themselves in mortal affairs directly,” Ilta mentioned.  “However, Lady Astrid’s presence has led to a relaxation of the rule on Terra Ancora by Council decree.  You might get lucky and see them, but you’ll likely need to give them offerings at their shrines first.”

Yellow shrugged. “They’re still reading material either way. I won’t be foolish enough to attempt practicing the advanced ones until I understand them for sure.”

Arcane Magic was powerful, but she had to be careful. As the Arcane Primer had made very clear to her, miscasting any spell had dire consequences for the user.

Ilta nodded and moved her hand out, a few more advanced texts on the practical applications of the arcane manifesting in front of Yellow.  “Here, these texts should suffice for now,” she mentioned.  “Feel free to read them as much as you’d like, just remember to return them.”

As before, a nod of acknowledgement came from the healer. “I will. Thank you again.”

“Fifteen years of that, huh?”  Tempest murmured. “I get the feeling that might get old. Although it might be nice to have someone looking out for you like that…”

The elder gave her two sisters another light, affectionate squeeze.

“That’s enough for now, Akemi.” She decided.

A cheerful beep was what Tempest heard, and moments later the door slid open with a soft hiss, revealing a surprised Aegis.

Who, judging by her casual wear and slightly damp-looking untied hair, looked like she’d been fresh out the shower.

“Tempest…? Um…hi there!” Aegis replied, with a smile and a slight blush of her own. “Nice to see you again! What brings you here?”

Both nodded, Lumi responding first. “We are. It’s a beautiful world.”

Hope rested her head on Lumi’s shoulder, her free hand curling around her lover’s own. “Mhmm. Still not as beautiful as you, sis.”

Lumi’s face reddened. “Hope…please, not in front of an angel…” Despite her embarrassment, it was very clear that her sister’s praise had warmed her heart greatly.

“It’s alright,” Ilta replied, keeping a comforting smile on her face.  “There’s no rule about such things here in the Empire.”

This surprised Lumi, and even Hope looked at Ilta with stars in her eyes. “Really?” Both replied simultaneously.
