I’ve been messing around with a couple of names from Warframe, Senran Kagura and let me just say, those names in Tenno style is nearly as accurate on their personalities in my opinion, not to mention elegant.
So with Specters of the Rail, the void system has been completely reworked to a new fissure system. At first glance, it seems difficult but it is actually fairly easy to understand, so I’ll lay it down quick and simple.
On this screen in the starmap are the current Fissures. These are what actually let you use your Relics (keys) to gather rewards. Each little flame icon represents a tier(1, 2, 3, 4)
When you click on a Fissure mission, you are given the selection of your relics. You may choose any one you wish. The tables for each Relic are displayed upon selecting them, and you do not need to sync with your allies. You can also queue up in public matches for a full party if you’re a solo player.
Once you get into the mission, you need to find the actual Fissure. The Lotus will tell you when you are near it. You need to walk up to it and seal it as so.
Once you do, enemies will come out in storm. You have 3 minutes to seal the fissure by picking up reactant. Enemies occasionally drop them so kill as many as you can. They look like this.
Simply jump through the fissure with it in hand and it will seal 10% of it. Once you get to 100%, the fissure will seal and you may extract. During the fight, Void Traces will drop. These are used to craft Dragon keys and are used in the Relic Segment on your ship. More on that later, but the trace drops in game look like this.
Once you extract, the squad’s individual rewards will be shown. You may choose freely between them as you please. The more people in your squad, the more rewards to choose from. You can only choose one. When people choose your reward, you get bonus traces.
In order to use the segment on your ship, you must complete the Mars Junction on Earth. You must complete all the tasks required in order to complete the junction, so do that first.
Once you have the relic segment, you can now use your void traces to skew the drop tables for that relic. It works in a very simple way.
Here we have a relic with no modifiers to it. These are the base tables and will be default for each key. Exceptional, Flawless, and Radiant will increase the chances for rare items, and decrease the chances for common items, with each tier giving more balance to the table.
Notice how the Saryn Chassis has a MUCH higher chance with the Radiant buff active, while the Burston Stock is much lower. Void Traces are consumed everytime you refine your Relic, so spend wisely.
And that’s about it! If I missed anything lemme know and I’ll fix it up.
I had a weird dream last night.
