being gay before the invention of lube must have been a pain in the ass
according to my history professor this is actually a huge contributing factor to the popularity of olive oil in Ancient Greece
this is the best possible thing that i will ever learn and i thank you for that
The people of Ancient Greece loved that ancient grease
I am begrudgingly reblogging this for the first time in like four urls for this, the first comment on this post to actually make me laugh in literally years
There’s a quote in a letter from some poor Roman stationed out in like, fucking Ukraine, basically saying it’s the worst place to live in the entire world because they grow neither olives nor grapes.
“Hope that works out for her,“ Red replied with a slight sigh. He’d done his fair share of tests and field experiments on the nature of Servants over the years since he’d made his acquaintance with Jeanne.
“That aside…Astrid, I just want to let you know that…if ever you’re feeling worn out, you can talk with me. I’m here for all my friends.” Red said with much sincerity and concern. He was, admittedly, tempted to give the goddess a hug if she needed it.
But given how turbulent things were at the moment, he wasn’t sure if Astrid would appreciate or even want the gesture.
“I appreciate the offer, Red, but honestly, it’s not something that you can really help with,” Astrid admitted. “It’s mostly that my life has been out of my hands for so long. So many people I’ve never known nor met have been choosing my life for me and stringing me along for their own devices. Everything I’ve accomplished was because someone else wanted it to be that way. And I’m just tired of it all. Tired of everybody picking my life out for me without my knowledge or consent.”
Red just nodded, unsure of what to say about the matter. Perhaps his silence was for the best.
He gave Astrid a gentle hug, resolving to help her out however he could.
It troubled him that he would have to enter Hell, though. Much as he wanted to see the end of demonkind, it wasn’t exactly a place he would visit for long.
After spending a week with the 6.25“x10” Monoprice, my Yiynova and Cintiq remain unplugged and I gave my Intuos away to a friend. The Monoprice tracks subtle pressure variances and small movements with less lag and more crisp fidelity than any of the others. It is, put crudely, fucking awesome, in both OSX Lion and Windows 7 x64.
I have one of these, 10×6.5 I bought about two months ago for 48 bucks. It’s a billion times better than my old Wacom Bamboo and works like a fuckin dream.
ATTENTION ALL PENNY-PINCHING ART FRIENDS!!!
ooo reblogging this for potential future purchase
oh
I’m definitely thinking of getting one of these, or asking for one for Christmas. ‘Cause as much as I appreciate Ian giving me his old tablet, I think the pen might be on it’s last legs. ;~;
Oh my god these start at $25 for a little one.
I would be so okay with a little one.
Reblogging this again because I fucking lost it and don’t want to forget it again.
