Wolf brought up a hologram of what the BEA was using – the Crocodile-39 LC, a lightly armoured, tracked vehicle with a motor driven propeller, and two HMGs.
“This is what the forces coming from sea will be using.” Wolf said, “That’s why the 200mm is a concern.”
Green noted the presence of the Crocodile landing craft without a word, and took in other details.
Handling the anti-air defenses wasn’t going to be easy, if the information he’d acquired was correct. How the damn Bouzac managed to harden their defenses against pulsed antiproton beams and hypervelocity kinetic rounds, he had no idea.
He suspected infiltration of Initiative technical databases. He’d leave that thought for later.
Hacking or otherwise bloodlessly neutralizing them, though…
“A word, if I may. These defenses appear vulnerable to either hacking or a brief radiation sweep across the coastline. Thoughts? We want to reduce casualties and protect the defenses for later.”
“You couldn’t have put a repeating blaster into your mech, Green?” Wolf asked, getting up in his face, “Do that… then we’ll talk.”
The Aurelien then spat in the Admiral’s face, walking off without so much of a word, gesturing for them to follow. They soon came to a tent, where’s Wolf’s generals and several of the Coalition’s (via holograms in their case) sat around a table with a holographic projection of the front line they were expected to face.
“Here’s the area we intend to focus the brunt of the attack on.” Wolf said, “This is a very well defended area as is, due to the 200mm naval gun overlooking the area, not to mention the numerous bunkers and other defenses.”
“We will have an attack on the Southern border with Antarctica, where BEA and Coalition forces will link up with the Antarticans and their forces. This front is close to the Capital, and will force the Hand to divert forces there.” Wolf continued, “Green has suggested opening a third front as well, on the East, so as to raid supply lines, and I wish to open up a Fourth front, linking up with the Morriellians and their irregulars. There will also be commando raids deep in enemy country to disrupt troop movement and link up with any civilian militias fighting against the Hand.”
The spit bounced off Green’s shields in a brief flare of blue light, and he along with Yellow simply followed Wolf.
Listening along to Wolf’s plan, Green and Yellow stayed silent until one detail stood out to them. As always, Green proceeded to bluntly point it out.
“That 200mm cannon…that’s no big threat to any landing-capable starship. Even our own naval ships wouldn’t be scratched by it.”
Aside from that, he raised no other objections. The bunker clearing was going to be very bloody, he and Yellow knew it.
But knowing Wolf, he was likely to commit to an assault. It wouldn’t be pretty.

you are allowed to have an opinion, but you are not ENTITLED to it. whatever you think or feel, good or bad, you can’t always control. we’ve all made a judgmental comment in our minds from time to time. the difference here is that while you have the free will to think, you do NOT have the ENTITLED RIGHT to act on it in a negative manner that can/does harm other human beings
i know a man who had an opinion once. i know others who shared that opinion. they took that opinion and turned it into power. they took that opinion and as a collective whole, murdered millions of people. because they believed something. that man with an opinion was Hitler, the people who shared his opinions were called Nazi’s, Nazi-supporters, White Supremacists, etc.
so no. you are not entitled to your opinion. if your opinion is an ugly, evil, disrespectful, immoral, unethical, uneducated, hateful, harmful one… you do NOT get to speak out on it and perpetuate it into society and fuel the chaos.
so if you’re reading this or any other political (or frankly human rights) posts and you feel annoyed or angry and just want nothing to do with it, remember what exactly that is called. being able to stay out of politics and live your life is privilege in action. not facing oppression/discrimination because of your skin color, wealth, gender, sexual orientation, religious preference, etc IS a privileged advantage in this world.
every time you turn your face the other way, you’re part of the problem. self care is important, i know this. we are not all capable of the same things, i get that. it’s scary and exhausting and sometimes dangerous to get involved. but purposefully ignoring evil and injustice that is happening all around you every single day right before your eyes is honestly condoning the bad. you might not be doing it, but you’re not trying to stop it either.
no, you don’t NEED to march. you don’t NEED to post something everyday on social media. you don’t NEED to be a physical activist in the streets. there are millions of us already doing that, and i understand the fear and risks involved with that. but what you SHOULD do is not turn a blind eye to it. if you see someone being racist, call them out on it. if you see someone facing discrimination, comfort them. If your loved ones are marching, support them. if you’re afraid to speak up, pray.
you can get involved on the right side of history by just simply being a decent, compassionate human being.
stay kind. stay informed. keep educating yourselves. keep communicating. love one another.
