Examine: The Bouzaculan Empire Army, more well known as the BEA. This is the military arm of the Bouzaculan Empire. Compared to the Bouzaculan civilian population, there’s more tech with the BEA. They also have a massive amount of manpower on call. However, not a lot of the generals are really that competent, more boastful of their family ties.

How anyone can excuse such blatant inefficiency and incompetence is beyond understanding. Fortunately, from what little news is trickling in, there appear to be changes being made to address this.

Examine: Fannthrax Beirn, Wolf’s rival/most feared enemy. An Elder Vampire of extreme power, he was a man of Gerudo origin. However, unlike his ancestor, Ganondorf, Beirn was born with white hair and blue eyes. Well known for his insanity, and sadistic nature, he was also considered a very capable commander of the Brotherhood.

Considered to have been finally eliminated decades ago, Beirn is officially dead by current records.

However, the Admiralty has begun to quietly question this conclusion following the hushed-up disappearance of a powerful Bouzac-related magical artifact.

Examine: The Forge, aka the Bouzaculan Parliament. This is the democratic body that essentially governs the Bouzaculan Empire with the help of the Chieftains and the King/Emperor. It has a huge number of Members of Parliament, numbering about 1000, representing the various sectors of Bouzaculan space.

To the average Initiative citizen, this system would be rather quaint. Then again, the Executive Assembly which they live under is itself an unconventional system.

Not really much to be said at this current time.

Examine: the Chieftains’ House, a Bouzaculan democratic body made up of the chieftains and warlords of the various clans. Unlike the nobility, these chieftains are far more agreeable to work with. They act as the Bouzaculan Senate. With the elimination of most of the Bouzaculan Nobility, they have gained more political and lawmaking power.

With no Initiative counterpart to this House or indeed any kind of Senate, save perhaps the highest echelon of the Executive Assembly, no particular remarks can be made on this governmental body. Just as long as it functions.

Examine: The Clan System, the horribly outdated political system the Bouzac lived under. The only reason Wolf kept it going for as long as it had been was out of shame of having perpetuated the system. For years, the Bouzaculan nobility lived by it, all wanting a chance at the Bouzaculan Throne. Recently, the violent system was taken out via legislation, and the destruction of the more… militant and conservative nobles.

Compared to the speed and hyper-efficiency of the Executive Assembly, this system was a cranky dysfunctional dinosaur.

Amazing and baffling how it lasted so long without the destruction of the populace that such systems tended to result in.

At the very least, it is a relic of the past now. Hopefully, it would never return.

Examine: The Bouzac, an extremely proud and nationalistic warrior race who have recently (and in some cases, unwillingly) bent the knee to the Astridian Empire. Battle proven, yet make (oddly effective) use of outdated tech. They are well known to have, at least up until lately, a very xenophobic nobility who went to great lengths to maintain their status under the guise of preserving their culture.

Why it took this long for the Bouzac to finally change, no one knows.

All progress requires sacrifice.

Examine: The Honorable Conduct Act, the Bouzac’s attempt at legislation designed to keep Foreigners from gaining too much power in Bouzaculan space. Essentially, the act puts all foreign military forces in Bouzaculan space under Bouzaculan law and customs, making sure they don’t do anything that isn’t approved of by the BEA beforehand. Clearly designed as a way to prevent any meddling like what the GDI did in the past.

Given past events, not helped by an Initiative that still deems itself apolitical, an understandable piece of legislation.

Debates could be made, however, on the perception of this act’s definition of honor as opposed to times where such would restrict helpful actions, such as pirate elimination and duties performed in the enforcement of criminal justice.

Examine: Chuchus, a race of slimes from the planet of Tryva. They’re a very common creature, coming in various elements depending on color. They provide Chu Jelly, a valuable commodity used for potions. The various elemental chu jellies provide resistance to certain elements, while normal chu jelly is used to heal people. The best kind (if legend is true) is Rare Chu Jelly, found from gold chuchus. The jelly itself is said to have the same powers as Great Fairy’s Tears, healing all wounds.

Rather odd substances. While concessions can be made towards their pseudo-magical nature, the normal and rare Chu Jelly appear to be a form of highly potent cellular regeneration catalyst or accelerant.

Meanwhile, the elemental Chu Jellies appear to provide some form of cell-scale adaptation against their particular elements. Most of which are explainable, but some escape conventional knowledge.

Examine: The Barracks, the BEA’s virtual squad on squad combat sim. Originally made to train the BEA troopers, it quickly became a sort of sport, with entire teams and single contenders becoming celebrities. Scorpio Armory now makes weapons specifically for the Barracks. Recently, the BEA opened up the simulation to the Imperial Army, meaning squads in the BEA get to compete against their allies in virtual combat.

Very similar to the holodecks used by both Starfleet and the Initiative, and the War Games simulations used by the UNSC. As far as training simulators go, not bad. Though an alternative might be found in neurally-integrated VR systems.
